I would like to invite you to the Anatomists on the Edge conference to be held in Galway, a University City on the edge of Europe. Designed to bring together two of the world’s largest Anatomical Societies, and to involve all threads of the broad field of Anatomical Science, it is hoped that the conference will re-affirm old and create new research collaborations.
The invited speakers are internationally recognized leaders in their field, giving early-stage researchers and students an exciting opportunity to interact and establish mutually advantageous links in the relaxing atmosphere of this historic medieval city. As Galway is a multi-national industrial hub for the medical device sector, this conference is happy to help foster academia-industry linkages; delegates will include industry figures for whom knowledge of Anatomy is vital. Both the Anatomical Society and the American Association of Anatomists are fully committed to ensuring that Anatomical Science continues to play a fundamental role in the education of clinicians, healthcare professionals, scientists, and biomedical engineers.
In order that the brightest and best people are attracted to follow these career paths, sessions dedicated to outreach, public engagement and education will enlighten delegates interested in achieving this important goal.
